Landscapers in Withernsea

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping handled drainage first, then surface. The discrete channel along the garage doors blends in and the threshold has stayed bone dry through two showers.

Edges look sharp and the whole front cleans with one brush. Daily life is easier.

Dan checked neighbour levels so our fix didn’t export water. He set an upstand beside the beds to keep mulch off the edge and aligned the joint to the path neatly.

The drive reads modern without showing off.

Dan turned up with dye, hose and patience. He traced water along the patio edge, then recommended a short run of perforated pipe with gravel that disappears under turf.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping worked neatly, lifted slabs cleanly and relaid them so the pattern lines up. After two heavy showers there’s no standing water, no slick patches by the door. Clear advice, tidy craft and a bill that matched the quote exactly. Feels like adulting done right.

Dan planned for our spaniel and our toddler. He phased the lawn last so muddy paws didn’t ruin fresh turf and built a shallow ramp that looks like part of the path.

The bench hides toys and the little herb strip sits near the door for quick snips. He answered daft questions kindly and never pushed extras. It’s practical without losing charm and we end up outside after tea most nights because the space invites it.

We’d been guessing for years. Backhouse Construction & Landscaping produced a simple drawing with levels, drainage and planting notes.

The renovation followed it exactly. No puddles, no awkward steps and the lawn meets the path cleanly.

Dan shifted the grill from the gusts and set a landing shelf by the door. Plates move without fuss.

I’d just finished renovating the house and was flat broke, but Dan still managed to make the numbers work. Backhouse Construction & Landscaping gave me a payment plan and never once made me feel awkward.

The garden now completes the house and I don’t need to think about mowing ever again.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping formed a curved edge that guides you toward the pergola. The mower now runs cleanly along the line and the path to the gate finally reads straight.

They kept radios low, lifted waste same day and left the pavement tidy. It looks like it always belonged.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping handled everything in a day. Old grass gone, base levelled, turf down, edges crisp.

They tidied every path and took the waste. The lawn meets the step perfectly so trays don’t wobble. We’ve started eating outside again.

We needed a base for a heavy shed. The team set formwork square, compacted hard and finished the slab smooth with a neat arris so water runs off.

They left a conduit for future power too. No grand claims, just competent people doing what they said they would when they said it.

Dan tested drainage with a hose, raised a dip and wrote watering timings on a card. No more wet ankles.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping poured a thick base for my brother’s motorbike shed. Dan checked the weight load and poured accordingly.

You can park a tank on it now. Impressive bit of work and a good laugh throughout.
