Landscapers in Gilberdyke

Dan poured and finished our new drive section himself. Really smooth finish and even edges.

It’s stayed perfect since.

Dan visited twice, first to listen, second to build. He suggested raising the deck by a single board so the threshold clears winter puddles.

It’s solved a problem we’d battled for years. The boards align with the kitchen tiles so the step disappears visually. We’ve gained a room we didn’t know we had. That kind of practical thinking beats any catalogue picture.

Our neighbour used Backhouse Construction & Landscaping so we went with them too. Dan’s a perfectionist in the best way.

He even fixed a bit of edging the builder had messed up years ago. The lawn now ties the whole garden together beautifully.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping rebuilt the shoulder where tree roots had jacked the surface, then tied the new edge into the path with a neat joint. The tarmac looks uniform across shade and sun and the manhole ring sits bang on.

Tyres whisper over it rather than thud. The frontage looks settled rather than patched, which is exactly what we wanted.

Dan sorted our back garden in no time. The new surface has made a world of difference and we’re out there loads more now.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping changed how we use the garden completely. Dan showed up on time, explained the steps clearly and got stuck in.

By the time they left, everything looked polished and ready to enjoy. It’s made things so much easier with our dog constantly running in and out.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping planned the renovation so deliveries never blocked the lane. Old patio out, sub base compacted, porcelain down in one clean run.

The border planting is tough but still colourful. They left a simple drawing with plant names and watering notes which helped a lot. We ate outside the next evening with blankets on our knees and felt like we’d pinched an extra room from nowhere.

Dan and the lads were brilliant. They worked around our awkward shape garden without complaint.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping even swept the drive before leaving. Lovely people.

I was nervous about getting artificial grass because I didn’t want it to look fake. Backhouse Construction & Landscaping proved me wrong.

Dan was honest and took the time to show me samples in natural light. The team prepped everything carefully, laid it beautifully and didn’t rush the edges. It feels soft, not plasticky, and it drains perfectly. I spend more time barefoot in the garden now than I ever did with real turf. It’s properly changed how I use the space.

Had a daft idea to make a putting green in the back garden. Dan from Backhouse Construction & Landscaping didn’t even blink, just helped design it.

Now I can practise in my slippers with a brew on. Quality finish and surprisingly realistic bounce. My mates are all jealous.

Our back step collapsed after frost. Dan rebuilt it with new concrete, blending it into the old brick so well you’d never guess.

He even polished the edge slightly so it wouldn’t chip. Genuine care in the details.

Backhouse Construction & Landscaping matched a warm grey porcelain to our brick so the colour sits quiet in sun or cloud. They compacted the base until the plate settled and finished with crisp corners.

The pointing cleans with one rinse and the path hits the shed square. It looks planned, not patched.
